  1. I can't believe it's almost over! This is our last day of hiking and our most challenging hike of the week. Quandary Peak is about 8 miles outside of Breckenridge and rises to 14,265 ft. While the distance is only 2.7 miles to the top, the elevation gain of over 3,000 ft will test our determination. We need to leave the house around 5 a.m. to insure that we will be safely down the mountain before the daily storms roll in. I happen to be up earlier today because one of my boys in the Man-Attic set his alarm that went off at 3:11!
I hope the memories last a lifetime. I've gotten to know each of these students a little bit better and hope that they take away important lessons from the week.
Ms. Dunbar and Ms. Bryant have been unbelievably helpful, funny, and a joy to share this experience with. Check back later today to see pictures of Quandary Peak.
